Parking Permit Registration

STAFF and FACULTY PARKING PERMITS

All employees who park a vehicle on campus, must have a valid permit displayed on their vehicle. Information on purchasing staff or faculty parking permits is provided during employee orientation and renewal details are emailed to current employees during the summer. Parking permits are valid for one academic year and entitle users to park in faculty/staff parking lots or overflow lots. Please see the parking website for information on parking maps and further rules. Violators may be subject to fines, towing or parking privilege sanctions. • Enter your license plate number and state as well as the make and model of your vehicle.
• Employee permit fees are used to purchase carbon credits in support of Colby’s commitment to sustainability.   
• Your permit will be mailed to your home address. 
• Parking fees cannot be prorated.

STUDENT PARKING PERMITS

If you plan to park a vehicle on campus, you must have a valid permit displayed on your vehicle. Parking is limited and restricted to designated student or commuter lots. Violators may be subject to fines, towing or parking privilege sanctions.

Parking permits are valid for one academic year. 2026-27 parking permits go on sale in August of 2026. Lot selection follows a class-year priority system, with members of the senior class selecting first, followed by juniors, sophomores and first year students. Emails are sent to students with detailed information regarding selection dates during the summer. Parking permit registration for AY 26-27 opens Tuesday, August 4 at 10:00 AM and becomes available in phases by class year:

• Seniors: Starting August 4 at 10am
• Juniors: Starting August 6 at 10am
• Sophomores: Starting August 11 at 10am
• All students (including First Year): August 13 at 10am and ongoing
  
  

You will not be able to register before your class date opens.

Fall study abroad students: Secure your spring parking pass as soon as registration opens. Premium lots sell out fast, and remaining options will be limited 

There are enough parking spaces to support our community. 

Student permits may be purchased at this link after August 4, 2026.

• Select your parking permit location.
• Your purchased permit will be available for pickup at Campus Security in Roberts Hall Monday-Friday between 9:00am and 3:00pm beginning August 24, 2026.
