The Hill House is the only house remaining from when Mayflower Hill was farmland in the early 20th century. In 1977 the house was named the Hill Family House in honor of Dr. James Frederick Hill, Class of 1882, who was instrumental in the move to Mayflower Hill, and his descendants.
